Definitely one of my favorites to make!  I love black and white together.

This heart was made using a 6″ x 8″ canvas board.  I covered the board with a paisley designed cardstock paper, adding on a plain white paper for the heart to sit on.  For the heart, I used 7mm black and white quilling strips, plus I cut the paisley designed paper into thin strips to use for the outline of the heart and a few other shapes inside the heart.

Most of my hearts are one-of-a kind hearts because the paper I find is limited.  I also like that because making these hearts never becomes boring.  I use whatever paper I can find or what I have left on hand.
